I am in awe of your story! That you would be so willing to open up the depths of your soul to millions of people who hopefully read it! It has been a pivotal part of my healing, because I finally realized.. it wasn\u2019t just me. I wasn\u2019t alone in this illness. And it helped me to realize that I could be one, one day! Thank you! \u00a0Your compliments have touched me. \u00a0I’m glad to hear that in reading my story you felt you would be able to help yourself and move forward\u00a0in your own journey.\u00a0 Multiplicity is created from past abuse that was caused at the hands of abusers. \u00a0It’s never a child’s fault!\u00a0 No, you are not alone in this illness; you were\u00a0a victim of someone else’s warped perception of how a child should be dealt with.<\/span><\/p>\n
Please don’t give up; integration is a necessary part of healing and becoming one. \u00a0I believe it’s\u00a0impossible for a multiple to feel whole without integration. \u00a0I loved my alters, and that they were created to help me survive a horrific childhood, but as an adult my alters only caused heartbreak and chaos.<\/span><\/p>\n
I\u00a0hope that someday your alters will come around and integration can be possible for you, too. \u00a0That is the goal of healing, to become one self. \u00a0Please know that it takes time and patience. \u00a0Remember, it took many years for the alters to become who they are. \u00a0It takes time for them to heal and feel they can let go. \u00a0I always believed that once each alter accomplished what they meant to, they were ready to integrate within me.<\/span><\/p>\n
I never lost one alter through integration. \u00a0Each of my alters\u00a0will always be\u00a0a part of me. \u00a0I am all of them. \u00a0The difference is, I am one woman, and\u00a0my alters\u00a0no longer control me.<\/span><\/p>\n
