You once wrote a mind is a powerful thing. How did you know things beforhand? Can you still predict things?<\/p>\n<p>Ray<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dear Ray,<\/p>\n<p>Kill my abusers? Yes, I admit, I had those thoughts at times, but doing so wouldn&#8217;t have made me feel any better about myself. Not only would I still have been abused, but I would carry the guilt of killing another human being. I believe it&#8217;s not my job to judge, and that God will take care of those who abused me. I let it go so that I can move forward to become my best self. It&#8217;s against my nature to hurt anyone. \u00a0My abusers may have hurt me, but if I turned to violence like them, it would mean they would have won. I\u2019m alive and well. My abusers are dead.<\/p>\n<p>I did say that &#8220;the mind is a powerful thing&#8221; through an alter. I believe I meant that we choose our own destiny. If I choose to be a victim, then I\u2019ll always feel like a victim. I chose instead to constantly be on guard and that has taught me to trust my instincts. That&#8217;s a bit different than predicting things. \u00a0I listen intently to others, have compassion, and know that my instincts are usually right.
