It sounds as if Simon is at the beginning of a career, which will not be terribly useful to those of us with DID. He might try to consider that for many of us dissociation is a gift from God and one which kept us alive. <\/span><\/p>\n

The book \u2018Switching Time\u2019 was liberating for me. Thank you. I believe in your experience – it brings hope for mine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Simon, are you scared that God might have allowed a phenomenon which reaches beyond science and outstretches even you. I am curious about your sentence, \u201cI conclude and question.\u201d I wonder if you are open to the answers?<\/span><\/p>\n

I agree with Karen in that what you have written is incomprehensible – I only hope you are more easily able to build a rapport with patients. <\/span><\/p>\n

I agree!\u00a0 I tried to answer\u00a0Simon’s comment, but\u00a0I couldn’t understand where he was going with\u00a0his\u00a0words.\u00a0 I believe he was trying to make sense of an illness\u00a0for which\u00a0there hasn’t been much information. \u00a0I don’t believe Simon was looking for an answer from me.\u00a0 I believe he was stating his own opinions.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I, too, hope that Simon is able to build rapport with his patients;\u00a0I especially hope he keeps\u00a0some of his opinions to himself.\u00a0 How horribly devasting\u00a0it would be for\u00a0a MPD\/DID\u00a0patient to confide in him\u00a0and hear\u00a0his incomprehensible views. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
