Karen…so amazed I found you! Have you been here all along? I read your book a few years ago and can’t stop thinking about you during times of distress. I am okay now. I always wished to meet you. A few months ago during a show on Oprah I felt angry. I read some comments and others felt the same. Why not pick you to guest? You are loved. You help everyone for no pay. Never forget Dr. Baer loves you, we the people who you help love you and I personally do. Thank you! Happy New Year!

Dear Barbara,

I’m sorry to hear that you were in distress but glad to hear you’re feeling better. It’s my hope that this letter finds you in a better place along your journey to wellness.

Yes, I’ve been here all along, just a bit behind in posting my answers when my journey takes a detour. Thank you for caring. I know there are many who, like you, would’ve liked to see me as guest on the Oprah Show. I would love to be a guest, too. I did, however, receive more than a few calls of interest from Ms. Winfrey’s staff. There may have been reasons beyond my control why I wasn’t chosen to be on. For one, I’ve healed and I’m the only integrated multiple. Because I no longer “switch” to a dissociative state, I can’t show my alters in their previous state of being. I’m integrated. I’m my alters and my alters are me. We are one person and I’m doing my best to live as one woman.

Thank you for sharing. You never can tell, we may meet some day!
